About Chris Dorwart

I'm a Gross Catholic graduate and always have hoped to one day work for the Omaha World-Herald. I began to work as a freelance photographer for the World-Herald in May 2011. Now, as the fall photography fellow working out of the Lincoln bureau, I cover Huskers and high school sports in addition to the occasional feature assignment. The fellowship is a program through the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's College of Journalism and Mass Communications, where I am in my third year. Some of my favorite photos are those that give insight into the everyday life of the people I meet. I love sharing the story of stranger, like the local bartender or a man on the corner playing his guitar.
