Week in Pictures: Run or Dye, Day of Caring

Runners complete a colorful race in Lincoln, hundreds volunteer for United Way’s Day of Caring and the Aksarben king and queen are crowned in the World-Herald Week in Pictures: Oct. 14-20, 2013.

Carrie French of Firth, Neb., celebrates the end of Run or Dye, a 5K color run Saturday in Lincoln at the Lancaster Event Center. Runners were showered in eco-friendly, plant-based cornstarch dye at every kilometer mark during the race.
