Tribute to the Fallen

Tribute to the Fallen activities began Sunday at the University of Nebraska at Omaha with more than 6,300 American flags placed at the campus’ Pep Bowl green space. The name, rank and branch of each service member to die in Iraq and Afghanistan was read aloud Monday and will be again Wednesday, the university said.¬†A closing ceremony that includes the playing of taps, an honor guard and a 21-gun salute will take place at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
