Bluejays going pink

The CenturyLink Center is usually bathed in blue for Creighton University basketball games, but a different color will appear at Saturday’s game.

Fans are encouraged to wear pink to promote cancer awareness in the “Creighton vs. Cancer Pink Out” men’s game against Bradley. Bluejay players will wear pink warm-up shirts and pink uniforms for the game. The first 12,000 fans arriving to the game will receive a complimentary pink T-shirt courtesy of Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center.

On Thursday, Bluejays players modeled the pink uniforms for the media. Money raised from an auction of the jerseys will be donated for breast cancer research. Photos by Kent Sievers.
